The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to more environmentally-friendly ways of moving.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the cost of oil, the concern of discovering alternative sources of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints in the world, one service is making the most of the growing pressure to find options to oil. It's established the Middle East's very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
